My background in Focusing
My journey into Focusing began in early 2020, sparked by a desire for deeper self-understanding to enhance my facilitation skills. I was immediately drawn to the power of Inner Relationship Focusing. My core Focusing training has been with Roberto Tecchio, complemented by courses with Amona Buechler and Focusing Initiatives International. Since the end of 2024, I have been a certified Focusing Trainer and Professional.
Regular Focusing partnerships have been an integral part of my practice since my second Focusing course, solidifying its importance in my life. I am a proud member of The International Focusing Institute (TIFI) and will soon be joining the European Focusing Association (EFA). I am also actively involved with Focusing Initiatives International. A significant aspect of my Focusing journey has been collaborating closely with a colleague with whom I've grown since the early stages of my training.
My passion lies in weaving Focusing into my diverse interests, including physics, the environment and ecology, facilitation, training, nonviolence, gender issues, activism, Theatre of the Oppressed, games, and creativity. Currently, I am exploring the application of Focusing in Community Wellness and Psycho-Social First Aid contexts.
My native language is Italian, and I am fluent in English, having lived for five years in the Netherlands. This experience, along with my involvement in international contexts through Focusing Initiatives International, has enriched my understanding of diverse cultures. While my Dutch is now quite rusty, my international background informs my approach to Focusing across different communities.
